Join us for AgriTalks: Global Perspectives - From Global Experience to Local Impact: Applying International Agricultural Development to Domestic Extension Programs!

In this talk, Dr. Liberty Galvin will share how her master’s research in international agricultural development launched her career in applied agronomy and extension. Drawing from her experiences at Njala University in Sierra Leone and Oklahoma State University, she’ll explore how key extension tools, such as Field Days and community-based outreach, can be adapted across borders and applied in diverse agricultural settings.

Dr. Galvin is an Assistant Professor of Extension Weed Science and Precision Weed Management in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences. Her work focuses on alternative weed control strategies, herbicide resistance in wheat, crop-weed competition, seedbank management, herbicide efficacy trials, and UAV applications in agriculture.
